Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4 with 4K HDR launched in India

Xiaomi launched its much awaited Mi TV for the first time in India on valentine’s day at New Delhi. This is the first time launch of Mi TV outside China. With this Xiaomi aims to disrupt the Indian television market as they did with budget smartphone in India. Xiaomi claims Mi LED Smart TV 4 to be the world’s thinnest LED TV with just 4.9mm thickness. Currently in India, Mi LED TV 4 will be available only in 55-inch variant. It will be on sale from 22nd Feb exclusive to Flipkart & Mi.com. Later Xiaomi will boost its sales via. Mi Home Stores – offline Mi store in India.

Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4 has a price tag of Rs. 39,999. Launch offers on purchase of TV within 3 months from launch will include free 3 months subscription to Sony Liv & Hungama Play, Mi IR Cable and free installation.

Mi LED TV 4 Specifications

Indian version of Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4 sports a 55-inch LED frame-less display panel with 4K resolution (3840×2160) and HDR support. Display offers a viewing angle of 178-degrees with refresh rate of 60Hz and response time of 8ms. Xiaomi claims to have Dolby+DTS sound quality on its Mi TV 4 with two 8W speakers. Connectivity front, Mi TV 4 offers 3 HDMI ports, two USB ports (USB 3.0 and USB 2.0), an Ethernet port, S/PDIF port, Dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 and Bluetooth 4.0. Mi TV is powered by 64-bit Quad-core Amlogic Cortex-A53 processor clocked up to 1.8GHz. Processor is supported by Mali-T830 graphics. It packs 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

Most interesting feature to look out in Mi TV 4 is its AI-powered PatchWall UI, company claims it to be the home of all your content irrespective of devices or set-top box connected to your TV. PatchWall UI provides you personalized recommendations. It offers a universal search as well to find your favourite program or a movie. Mi TV comes with a Mi Remote which can control TV as well as your set-top box using Mi IR cable. Mi TV 4 offers 500,000+ hours of content, out of which 80% content is available for free. It includes content partners like Hotstar, Voot, Sony Liv, Zee5, Hungama Play, ALT Balaji, Sun Nxt, Viu, TVF & Flickstree. Xiaomi is working hard to get more content provider down the line for its user of Mi TV 4 in India.
